Today we feature a colourful sunset on Killiney Hill by Frederick Bancale. Killiney Hill offers amazing views of Dublin and beyond on a clear day. It forms the Southern boundary of Dublin Bay alongside Dalkey Hill. An obelisk monument is situated on the peak of the hill at 153 metres, bearing the inscription:

"Last year being hard with the poor, walks about these hills and this were erected by John Mapas, June 1742."
