Today we feature a sensational photo called 'Autumn Road' by Reuben Fields. Better known as The Dark Hedges, these trees were planted by the Stuart family in the 18th Century. The road leads visitors to the entrance of the Georgian mansion located here. You may recognise this famous place in Antrim as it was used recently as "The Kings Road" in Game of Thrones! Reuben explains:
"I have been wanting to shoot at this location for a long time. When I arrived on the Friday night before from Dublin it was raining the whole way up and thought it might be a waste of time. However when I came back on the Saturday morning the light was perfect. This beautiful avenue of beech trees was planted by the Stuart family in the eighteenth century. "
I really like the unique lighting in this image and the strong shadows cast by the trees. Reuben has certainly captured the mystifying atmosphere here. This print is available to purchase from €45. You can browse Reuben Field's stunning selection here.
