Editors Choice: Photo of the Day

Photographer: Barry O'Carroll

Today we feature an awe-inspiring capture of the Slieve League cliffs in County Donegal by Barry O'Carroll. At over 601 metres high, they are some of the tallest cliffs in Europe. Amazingly, the Slieve League cliffs tower to almost three times the height of the Cliffs of Moher. They are truly one of the hidden gems of Ireland and the "One-Mans Path" trail provides an opportunity to walk along this ominous ridge. Barry has captured the location on a beautiful clear day. These lush green cliffs carved out by the sea are a hallmark of the rugged and fertile Irish landscape.
