Today we feature an interesting shot of the Gaelic Chieftain statue of Aodh Ruadh Ó Domhnaill  in Co. Roscommon by Darren mcLoughlin. Darren explains:

"The statue of the Gaelic Chieftain by Maurice Harron commemorates the Battle of Curlew Pass in 1599 between Irish and English forces. It is visible from the N4 Dublin to Sligo road."
