Today we feature a beautiful composition by talented photographer Trish Punch of Youghal in Co. Cork. Youghal is actually an ancient town - the first lighthouse was contructed here in 1202. Moreover, there is evidence of viking settlement at Youghal village dating back as far as the 9th century. They used this location as a base to raid religious sites around the South of Ireland. As the sun rises, the strand is awash with stunning pink and orange hues. A couple of old wooden posts protrude from the wet sand on this very clear morning. The edge of the rugged Cork landscape is visible in the background. This is a stunning and accomplished capture by Trish!
This print is available from €45. You can browse or buy Trish Punch's prints here.
