Today we feature a serene sunrise composition taken by Trish Punch capturing the coastline off County Cork. Giant basking sharks are often seen off the coast here. Trish explains the setting:
"A cliff top view of the sunrise over the mainland and nearby islands, from Cape Clear island in West Cork."
Interestingly, Cape Clear is the most southerly inhabitated location in Ireland and is home to over 100 people. The island is an Irish speaking region with a rich history. There is a 12th century church ruins located along the harbour. The island also boasts an ancient passage tomb and a defensive promontory fort.
This print is available from €45. You can browse or buy Trish Punch's prints here.
