Today we feature a stunning sunrise capture by Trish Punch of the coastline off County Cork. Trish comments:
"A cliff top view of the sunrise over the mainland and nearby islands, from Cape Clear island in West Cork."
Interestingly, Cape Clear is the most southerly inhabited location in Ireland with over 100 occupants. The island is an Irish speaking region with a rich history. There is a 12th century church ruins located along the harbour. The island also boasts an ancient passage tomb and a defensive promontory fort.
