Today we feature a view of Knockdhu in Co. Antrim by Joe Craig. The dramatic green landscape of the Antrim mountains is illuminated brightly in parts by light breaking through the clouds which makes for an interesting scene.
Knockdhu is home to an ancient promontory fort. It is one of the largest man made monuments in Ireland and was excavated on Time Team by Tony Robinson and an archaeological crew several years ago. They found ditches and banks that prehistoric tribes had dug to defend the Knockdhu hills.
