Today we feature Dursey Island off the coast of Co. Cork by Trish Punch. The fields are segregated by dry-stone walls as far as the eye can see. Trish comments on this beautiful but treacherous location:
"Dursey Island sits at the tip of the Beara Peninsula in West Cork. The island, with a population of about 8 people, lies across a dangerous channel of water called the Dursey Sound. It is connected to the mainland by cable car. "
