Editor's Choice: Photo of the Day

Photographer: Emma McArdle

Today we feature the iconic Cliffs of Moher by our latest photographer, Emma McArdle. Located in County Clare and rising to a height of 214 metres (702 ft ) , the Cliffs of Moher attract many visitors every year. This picture was taken close to O'Briens Tower. Emma comments:

"In this image you can see a sea arch and stack formed over thousands of years from the strong waves crashing into the cliffs. This sea stack, known as Branaunmore, stands 67 metres high. If you look closely, you can see people standing at the top which really gives you a good perspective of how high the cliffs are. No matter what the weather, the Cliffs of Moher are breathtaking."
