Today we feature a stunning black and white image of The Custom House in Dublin City by Emma McArdle. Construction began on this building in 1781 and took ten years to complete. It replaced a previously built Custom House that had been deemed unfit for purpose. In 1921 it was almost completely destroyed when the IRA burnt it down during the Irish War of Independence. It was later restored and is pictured here reflected perfectly on the River Liffey.
You can buy this print mounted from €45. Browse Emma McArdle's stunning print collection.
