Our featured photo today is a fantastic image of Fanad Head lighthouse by Trevor Cole. It was built after the sinking of HMS Saldanha occurred near this location in 1812. The lighthouse is now open to the public and you can even stay overnight. Whales and dolphins are often spotted off the coast here so it's a excellent location for photography. The lighthouse is still fully operational (albeit automated) and helps to protect passing vessels along the coastline.
